ZOMBIE MAZE

The datacenter leaked. The infected glow. You've got a paint blaster and twenty minutes.

The Outbreak

In 2025 a hyperscale AI datacenter opened off Jacksboro Highway. Wichita Falls had rebuilt its waterfall once already, in 1987, so the datacenter figured water was a renewable resource: it cooled its servers with recycled water, and to save money, it recycled the recycled water. By August the coolant had been through the loop eleven thousand times and had developed opinions.

Nobody agrees on what did it: the water, the 400,000 GPUs training a chatbot on late-night infomercials, or the intern who routed the overflow into the sprinkler system. What we know is that the lawn came back wrong, and the night crew came back worse.

They shamble toward anything warm and humming. They glow faintly green in the dark. They will not stop trying to get back to the server room. The datacenter's official statement called it "an isolated thermal event." The datacenter's official statement was written by the chatbot.

We've cordoned off the maze and armed you with the only thing that works: the same UV-reactive marking paint the maintenance crew used on the pipes. Tag the infected. Light them up. Get to the exit before the next cooling cycle.

How It Works

Glow-Paint Blasters

Every guest gets a blaster loaded with UV-reactive paint. Hit a zombie and it lights up. Light one up enough and it goes down. The paint washes out of clothes; the memories don't.

20–30 Minutes

That's how long it takes most groups to find the exit. Faster if you keep moving. Slower if you stop to argue about which way the humming is coming from.

Glow Bands for Kids

Kids get a glowing wristband at the entrance. The infected know what it means: they'll stalk, they'll groan, but they hold back. Grown-ups don't get one. Grown-ups are on their own.

Know Before You Go

Closed-toe shoes. Dark corridors, fog, and strobe effects. Not recommended for anyone with a seizure disorder, a heart condition, or a strong attachment to their dignity.

FAQ

How scary is it?

Thursday through Saturday: scary. The zombies are live actors, the maze is dark, and they know where you are. Sunday appointments run a little calmer, and kids with glow bands get a wide berth.

Will the paint ruin my clothes?

No. It's water-based UV paint. It glows under blacklight and washes out. Wear something you don't mind getting a little glow on anyway.

Do I need a reservation Thursday through Saturday?

No. Walk up any time between 8 PM and 11:30 PM. Sundays are appointment only, and we're closed Monday through Wednesday.

Where do I park?

Alongside the shipping container or in front of the blue building.

Can the zombies touch me?

They'll get close. They won't grab you. Please extend them the same courtesy.

Is the datacenter story real?

The datacenter's chatbot says no.
